This month’s Ipsy Glam Bag ROCKED! There were five seriously solid products in my favorite once a month pretty pink zip-up bag.
Since I’m a beach style blogger, this month’s theme ‘Beach Beauty,’ was just up my alley, and I had fun experimenting with each and every product. (See previous glam bag reviews)
I’m going to start with the high point- the Nailtini nail polish in the perfect-for-toes dark-coral color, Mai Tai ($13). The best part about this nail polish is that it doesn’t bubble. I always have that problem with my nail polish (and I’m an obsessive nail polisher), no matter how many times I apply a thin layer of nail polish and even wait an entire day for it to dry- I always have bubbles. This stuff is foolproof and rock-solid.
My absolute favorite thing to get in a glam bag is anything for my lips. I’m not experimental when it comes to lipstick, lipgloss or anything with lip in it (I’m all about nude or pinks)… so when something new pops up in the mail that I wouldn’t otherwise try, and it’s legit- I’m over the moon. The Pop Beauty Pouty Pop Crayon ($18) was perfect! The pretty pink color was subtle enough to look good but pink enough to POP. Love it, thank you Ipsy!!!
Being part of a beach community always makes me skeptical of anybody trying to sell something to make you look like you’ve just been on the beach. Normally I hop in the shower RIGHT after I get home so I can wash the sweat, salt and sand off my body. So the Sexy Hair Soy Renewal Beach Spray ($19.95) was something I wasn’t interested in- until I tried it. Wow, what a difference! After getting out of the shower and air drying my hair mostly through, I spritzed some of this magic tonic on my hair, and BAM I had awesome beach-crunchy curls. The crunch went away and left a really great wavy look… something that my stick-stright hair never does!
I’ve never tried anything from bh cosmetics, the maker of the California Collection Eyeshadow Sample ($8 – $12), and I don’t think I would in the future, but it’s fun to have a couple of additional fun colors to mix-and-match for a fun evening look.
“This BH Cosmetics makeup palette includes a shade from each of the California Collection palettes: Hollywood, San Francisco, and Malibu. ”
Strangely enough, I actually see each of these places in each of the colors. Well paired BH Cosmetics!
The final product, COOLA Mineral Face SPF 20 Tinted Moisturizer ($36) is one of my favorite types of things- first of all, it has SPF protection (SO IMPORTANT) and it’s a great, velvety tinted lotion. Score!
